Fateful Day Could End Happy

First race off @ 12h25

Hollywoodbets Greyville plays host to an eight-race programme on the polytrack this afternoon. Apprentice Rachel Venniker has seven rides booked with a couple of decent winning chances and she may be worth following.

The first is due off at 12h25.

Don’t forget to enter the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punter’s Challenge – submit entries before 12h20.

Note: Jockey Craig Zackey will not be riding this afternoon.

Fateful Day from the Gareth van Zyl stable takes his place in Race 7.

He was doing his best work late when he ran fifth over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

He has won over this course and distance in the past. The son of Master Of My Fate takes a slight drop in class and from his good draw of two, he may be the one to beat.

Trainer Andre Nel saddles Exceed Expectation in Race 5.

He finished 2.1 lengths behind Hallerbos last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The son of Pomodoro has dropped in the ratings and with just 53.5kgs on his back, he can return to winning ways.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h25
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h00
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h35
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h10
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h50
