Dual Gr1 winner Queen Supreme ran no kind of race in Saturday’s Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Del Mar but the top-class paddock prospect has since been purchased by the Kia Ora Stud for $900 000 at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale.
After bidding by Australian and Japanese agents, the 5yo daughter of Exceed And Excel found a new home with the China Horse Club and is likely to go to Kia Ora Stud in New South Wales.

The Irish-bred Queen Supreme was trained by Mike de Kock in South Africa. She moved to Andrew Balding and ran last of seven behind Benbatl in the Joel Stakes at Newmarket in her only previous international start prior to Saturday.
Bred by Thomas Hassett, Queen Supreme is a daughter Exceed And Excel out of the unraced Gone West mare Call Later, who has produced multiple Stakes winners including Be Ready, a son of New Approach who won the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes.
Queen Supreme was purchased as a yearling at Goffs by Markus Jooste’s Mayfair Speculators for €130 000. Following a dispersal sale, she found her way to the De Kock yard where she raced in a partnership which included power players Mauritzfontein (Pty) Ltd, Mike de Kock, Larry Nestadt, JJ van der Linden and Nolene Malherbe.
