Cheyne Could Be Man To Follow Today

The Bipot starts in the first at 12h10

The first weekend of October kicks off with an eight-race programme at Fairview on the polytrack with the first race starting at 12h10.

The best bet of the day comes in Race 3 with Marmara Sea.

Greg Cheyne  – another good day on the cards

Bobby Bean writes that the 4yo gelding, who is a son of Soft Falling Rain, looks to have enjoyed a new lease on life since changing stables and moving to Port Elizabeth, having won four in a row.

Jockey Greg Cheyne who has won on him twice, jumps aboard today and from a good inside draw, the pair should be too good for this field.

Cheyne’s rides today:

  • Carlino(1)
  • Frosty Rain(2)
  • Marmara Sea(3)
  • Moonlightstranger(5)
  • Mio Grande(6)
  • Sullenberger(7)
  • Bloom(8)

The value bet of the day comes up in Race 1 with Curious. This 4yo gelding is seldom far off the action.

In his first start on the polytrack last time he lost three lengths at the start and still managed to finish in third. Jockey Lukas Bester retains the ride and the pair should be right there in the run down to the line.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
