Fairview: Follow Four-Ride Fourie

First is off at 12h40 - also Bipot leg 1!

We are in September already and the new week starts off with an eight-race programme on the Fairview polytrack today.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h40.

Over 11000 players participated in the milestone 1000th Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge competition on Sunday, and while nobody managed to hit the all-or-nothing jackpot, we start the new week with plenty to look forward to.

There are nine local racemeetings between today and Sunday, with Kranji’s QE11 Cup day on Saturday, and Hong Kong’s brand new season starting at Sha Tin on Sunday 8 September.

Breede Baby from the Alan Greeff stable takes her place in Race 6 today and she looks the best bet on the card.

She took time to unwind in her last start over this distance on the turf.

She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

Richard Fourie – not many chances today, but will be effective (Pic – Pauline Herman)

She is one of four rides for Richard Fourie and if suited to the polytrack, she should return to winning ways.

Trainer Tara Laing sends out Colorama in Race 5.

She finished 1.65 lengths behind Dawn Of Gold last time.

She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The 6yo mare has dropped in the ratings and from her good draw of four, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
