Dylan’s Champ from the Fabian Habib stable takes his place in Race 1 and he should give punters a good start to the day. He has good consistent form lines to his credit.

The 14-week break may have done him the world of good. He gets the services of Tshepiso Matsoele who may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.

Trainer Tony Peter sends out Jinger Jam in Race 6. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung inwards in the final 400m.

The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade should love the rise to 2000m. She jumps from pole position with Phelisile Mongqawa booked to ride.

She has scope and would not be a shock winner.
