Expect Jet Power From Crawford Today

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth first due off @ 12h25

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth is alongside Turffontein this afternoon. The main event of the day is the Non-Black Type Newlands Stakes which is run over 1400m.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge on both of today’s local racemeetings.

Brett Crawford (seen here with James) sends out Pomodoro’s Jet this afternoon (Pic – Supplied)

Pomodoro’s Jet from the Brett Crawford stable takes his place in Race 8. He was doing his best work late when fourth over 1400m last time.

The son of Pomodoro is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance.

He does have a wide draw to overcome, but Craig Zackey knows him well and he will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Trainer Glen Kotzen saddles Porto Zante in Race 7 and she represents decent each way value.

She lost a length leaving the start last time, but the way she finished off her race that day was encouraging.

The daughter of Captain Of All has dropped to a competitive rating.

She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can cause the upset.

Please note that jockey Sihle Cele is not riding today.
