Trainer Eric Sands sends out Bel Canto Dream in Race 9. He was an impressive winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1400m on this course.

He raced from a handy position, quickened up well and drew clear.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since.

He takes on stronger but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Day In Day Out from the Vaughan Marshall stable takes his place in Race 2. He was green in running on debut but stayed on to finish fourth.

It must be noted that Military Command has come out and won a feature since. He would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1200m.

With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.
