English Premier League

Game week 26 Preview

The first-ever winter break in the Premier League commences this weekend with just four fixtures taking place. Everton kick-start proceedings at home to Crystal Palace, with falling champions, Manchester City ending the round off on Sunday against West Ham. Between that, Brighton and Watford lock horns in a massive six-pointer at the foot of the table, while Bournemouth will be looking to prevent Sheffield United from getting closer to the top four on Sunday.

Saturday 8 February

13/20 Everton | Draw 11/4 | Crystal Palace 9/2 (14:30)
Goodison Park draws back its curtains as Everton hope to put themselves amongst the UEFA Europa League spots. A win for the Toffees would take them into seventh spot, level on points with Sheffield United before their match on Sunday, and above Manchester United and Wolves. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are unbeaten in four matches, and come off the back of an emphatic 3-2 comeback victory at Watford – despite having a man short. Crystal Palace lost their second consecutive game last weekend and are now winless in six encounters. Everton should get the job done at 13/20.

23/20 Brighton | 24/10 | Watford 49/20 (19:30)
Brighton and Watford do battle on Saturday evening in a massive six-pointer with both teams desperate to get out of a relegation scramble. The hosts are winless in five games, although they did do considerably well to fight back against West Ham last weekend, earning a 3-3 draw. Watford failed to move out of the red zone, losing 3-2 at home to Everton. It was the second consecutive league game that the Hornets had surrendered a lead late on in the game. Despite the lack of form from both teams, finding the back of the net hasn’t been too much of a worry. Both Teams to Score at 15/20 seems the best bet here.

Sunday 9 February

7/10 Sheffield United | 51/20 | Bournemouth 9/2 (16:00)
Sheffield United continue to be the talk of the town and rightfully so, considering their achievements this season. The Blades are four points off Chelsea, who are in fourth spot, and the more we continue to write them off, thinking they’re going to drop off eventually, Chris Wilder’s men continue to silence their doubters. Bournemouth moved out of the relegation zone after winning back-to-back home games over Brighton and Aston Villa, but on the road, the Cherries have lost three games on the trot, failing to find the back of the net in each encounter. Sheffield United are too good to pass up on at 7/10.

1/8 Manchester City | 17/2 | West Ham 19/1 (18:30)
Manchester City will be put out to send a reminder to the football world to prove their quality after a fairly disappointing season. Pep Guardiola’s side were put to the sword against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham last weekend, losing 2-0 – their sixth defeat this term. David Moyes has failed to inject the winning formula into his West Ham side since his return. After beating Bournemouth in his opening game, Moyes’ Hammers are winless in five league matches, losing three times. Take Manchester City to Win By Three Or More Goals at 15/20.

QUAD @ 7/1
Everton Win 13/20
Brighton vs Watford BTTS 15/20
Sheffield United Win 7/10
Man City Win By 3 Or More 15/20
