TAB outlets will only open at 2pm on Election Day, 3 August,  which has been declared a public holiday.

The TAB telephone betting centre and online platforms will open at 1pm.

South African horseracing and tote betting operators Phumelela and Gold Circle have changed the racing and betting schedule for Wednesday 3 August in order to afford staff and customers the opportunity to vote in the country’s five-yearly municipal elections on the same day.

The Gold Circle race meeting at Greyville that afternoon has been switched to a day-night fixture with Race 1 at 4.10pm and the last at 8pm.
