Early Start To Local Racing

First race is off at 11h10

Hollywoodbets Greyville plays host to a ten-race programme on the turf track this afternoon.

The main event of the day is the Gr2 WSB 1900 supported by the Listed KRA East Coast Cup.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and the first is due off at 11h10.

Trainer Mike de Kock saddles Aragosta in the Gr2 WSB 1900.

He showed some signs of needing his comeback run in the Gr1 WSB Premier’s Champions Challenge last time.

He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish.

The son of Rafeef would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter.

This run will bring him to his peak, but he still has the class to notch up his fifth career victory.

Ponte Pietra from the Dean Kannemeyer stable takes his place in Race 9 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He has produced two good runs since winning his maiden over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville.

He lost a length leaving the start last time, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. He takes a drop back in class and despite his wide draw of 10, he should be too good for this field.
