Early Start – And Turffontein Goes Ahead!

First off at 11h15

4Racing advise that Turffontein racing goes ahead as scheduled today.

The Pen reading is still 27 after only receiving 6,5 mm of rain overnight. The forecast also looks positive.

The meeting runs alongside Hollywoodbets Kenilworth this afternoon and twelve races are carded.

The Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge is available on both racemeetings.

There are three feature races that were postponed from last weekend including the Grade 3 Betway Got The Greenlight Stakes, Grade 3 Mother Russia Stakes and the Listed Betway Wolf Power 1600.

It is an early start to the day with the first due off at 11h15.

The banker today – Main Defender (Pic – 4Racing)

Main Defender from the Tony Peter stable takes his place in Race 8 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He won a game race in the Grade 3 Betway Graham Beck Stakes last time.

He raced from a handy position, moved up and fought hard all the way to the line.

The son of Pathfork has plenty of class and if not in need of this outing, he should be hard to beat.

Trainer Robbie Sage sends out Unzen in Race 6. He was given a peach of a ride when winning the Non-Black Type WSB Grand Heritage last time.

He raced from a handy position, pounced at the right time and kept finding all the way to the line. He does have an awkward draw of eight to overcome but with luck in running, he can follow up.
