Durbanville Goes Ahead

If weather stays fine

Tuesday’s Durbanville meeting will go ahead as planned despite all of last week’s rain and the loss of its two most recent fixtures to waterlogging.

The first was abandoned and the second switched to Kenilworth.

KR Racing manager Dean Diedericks told Michael Clower: “When we did all the work on the track we weren’t sure how it would drain and we have had some trouble at the 600m mark. We are going to put in more drainage there but obviously we can’t do that at the moment. However we won’t have a problem on Tuesday if the weather stays fine.”

Kindly note that Scottsville’s Sunday meeting of 15 July has moved to this Wednesday 18 July, with race 7 jumping at a revised time of 16h05.

The original Greyville meeting that was to be held on Wednesday moves to Greyville on Friday 20 July.
