Pick 6 starts in third at 13h45

The rescheduled Cape meeting at Durbanville today will be held under clear blue skies and includes four competitive sprint Handicap events. It is the second of two local meetings.

The first race on the card starts at 12h40 and the lucky last will close off proceedings at 16h45.

Race 1 – 12:40, Race 2 – 13:15, Race 3 – 13:45, Race 4 – 14:22, Race 5 – 14:58,Race 6 – 15:35, Race 7 – 16:10, Race 8 – 16:45

The Candice Bass-Robinson stable send out Duplicity who competes in Race 4.

Bobby Bean writes that this daughter of Twice Over looked a picture on debut when she understandably raced green.

The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was very encouraging and she will come on leaps with that run under the belt.

She is related to eight-time winner Clouds Unfold and if making the expected natural improvement then she will take a power of beating in this contest. Aldo Domeyer jumps into the saddle and he is currently in a rich vein of form.

The Paul Reeves yard send out Photocopy in the the eight race 8.

The son of Tiger Ridge absolutely loves racing over this course-and-distance with a record of three wins and three second place finishes from six outings.

He showed his customary pace last time out and should have finished closer if not for taking a bump in the latter stages.

MJ Byleveld takes the ride and he should be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

The false rail will be set 2m out on the back straight with a 4m cut-off at the 550m mark
