Durbanville Racing Today

The Bipot starts in the second at 12h25

A competitive card kicks off in the Mother City at Durbanville today which includes the return of the classy Captain Of Stealth who takes part in a Pinnacle Stakes event.

The first race on the card starts at 11h55 and the lucky last will close off proceedings at 16h30.

Bobby Bean writes that the Glen Kotzen stable send out Karoo Winter who competes in Race 3.

This daughter of Futura moved up strongly last time out when tested over a mile at Kenilworth.

She is at her best over this type of distance at this stage of her career and still looks to have plenty of scope for improvement.

Top jockey Aldo Domeyer jumps into the saddle and with more natural progression, the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

The Justin Snaith camp send out Destin who participates in Race 8.

The son of Jackson interestingly takes on Sudden Star which makes for a thrilling encounter. He was fortunate enough to escape with a minimum penalty for his recent win and looks fairly-handicapped once again.

It must be noted that Meliora who finished third that day has come out and won since. He is the stable elect and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, he may take a power of beating in this contest.
