‘We Do Believe There Was An Objection’

That was said a half hour after the race by the Tellytrack presenter

Confused_Cartoon_604x600The bumbling and fumbling between Kenilworth Racing and Tellytrack over the objection in the second race at Durbanville this afternoon cannot go without mention.

There was patent interference in the final 200m by Sky At Night who almost took Indaba over the rail.

Between the runners passing the post and a half hour later, PUNTERS AND VIEWERS WERE TOLD NOTHING.

It went something like this:

Tellytrack: We have heard there has been an objection.

Suddenly the (wrong) all-clear result flashes up.

Then Cecil Mthembu (not his fault) says he is unsure what is happening.

Then during the on course preview of the next race we could hear Jehan Malhere in the distance announcing the upheld new result.

This tardiness and clowning around is just not good enough in this day and age.

Who is responsible for the circus that followed and what will be done about it?

We guess, nothing!

Racing, It’s A Rush? Not on this score.
