Durbanville Again Today

The Bipot starts in the first at 12h40

A competitive card kicks off in the Mother City at Durbanville today which includes the classy filly Third Runway who takes part in a Conditions Plate.

The first race on the card starts at 12h40 and the lucky last will close off proceedings at 16h45.

The Harold Crawford and Michelle Rix stable send out Rewrite The Stars who competes in Race 5.

Bobby Bean writes that this daughter of The Apache likes to set the pace in her races and she was only caught in the shadow of the post over this trip last time out when beaten just under a length by Dynastic Light.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

Also, it is encouraging that MJ Byleveld has kept faith in the ride and she may be difficult to peg back in the closing stages of this contest.

The Justin Snaith camp send out Major Attraction who participates in Race 8.

The daughter of Vercingetorix backed up her favourite status last time out to leave the maidens.

She makes her handicap debut and comes into the race with the form line of her maiden win absolutely red hot. It must be noted that Twicethequality, Dipladenia and In A Huff have come out to win since.

Stable jockey Richard Fourie jumps into the saddle for the first time and she should be a force to be reckoned with in the handicaps.

Muzi Yeni and Sandile Mbhele will not be riding today.

The false rail is set at 2m out on the back straight with a 5m cut-off at the 550m.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h50
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h25
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h00
