Drink A Toast To Habib’s Bacchus Today

First due off @ 12h15

Forty eight hours ahead of the venue’s biggest racemeeting of the year, an eight-race programme has been carded on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon with the first due off at 12h15 and the lucky last set for 16h25.

Bacchus from the Fabian Habib stable takes his place in Race 7 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He won his last start a lot easier than the official margin suggests. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.

The son of Master Of My Fate takes a rise in class, but he has plenty of ability and should follow up with another victory.

Trainer Lucky Houdalakis sends out Bob’s Your Uncle in Race 8.

He was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course.

He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this distance.

The son of Royal Mo is ideally suited to this course and with Craig Zackey back in the saddle, he should be hard to peg back.

Race 4 No 1 AZALEAS FOR ALL had a 257 day break due to being rested.
