Domeyer Takes On Cheyne Today!

Fascinating end to season

Aldo Domeyer appears determined to win his place in the SA Team for the PGI Jockey Challenge in Singapore in September!

After a hat-trick of winners at Flamingo Park on Monday, Domeyer is two ahead of Greg Cheyne and has picked up 7 rides at today’s Fairview meeting – to make things really interesting!

The final meeting of the South African racing season sees an unlikely national title third spot play-off going all the way down to the wire between the Eastern Cape Champion Cheyne and his younger rival.

Domeyer has picked up the indisposed Muzi Yeni’s rides today and his unexpected participation has surely thrown the cat amongst the pigeons for Cheyne.

Greg Cheyne – faces a tough task

That said, Cheyne has 8 decent rides but will need to register three more winners.

If it is a tie, the stakes won and win strike-rate  could come into play.
