Recently retired dual Gr1 winner Deirdre (Harbinger-Reizend, by Special Week) will be sent to Champion Sire Galileo (Sadler’s Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) for her first mating, connections confirmed with racingpost.com.

Bred by Northern Farm, and trained by Mitsuru Hashida, Deirdre debuted in Japan in 2016, running second, before going on to win eight of her 33 starts and prizemoney in several nations: £503,312, €50,000, HK$7,780,000, 750,000SAR, 295,797,000¥, 2,752,500Dhs.

Her two Gr1 wins were in the 2017 Kyoto Shuka Sho and the 2019 Goodwood Nassau Stakes, while she also placed at Gr1 level in the 2018 Hong Kong Cup, 2019 Ascot Champions Stakes, 2018 Dubai Turf, and was fourth in several Gr1 events; the 2019 Irish Champion Stakes, 2017 Yushun Himba, 2019 Dubai Turf and 2019 Hong Kong Vase.

She is out of a half-sister to group winners Renforcer, Northern River and Listed winner Not Alone.
