Deez Dayanand – popular figure
Following the closure of Horseracing South Africa (Pty) Ltd and the subsequent restructuring of the SA Equine Trade Council (t/a Racing South Africa), Deez Dayanand has been retrenched, effective 1 August 2015.
Deez joined the Racing South Africa team in 2011 to provide support for the numerous activities that fell under the umbrella of Horseracing South Africa (Pty) Ltd when that national body was still operational.
In particular, Deez’s energies were focused on the Charity Turf Challenge, Children’s Equine Career Expos, Fact Book, Inward Buying Missions and the generating of many of the Trade Council’s generic marketing material on an annual basis. Deez also travelled abroad on numerous missions including Newmarket in the UK, HK and Turkey for the Asian Racing Conference.

Deez will continue his work as a presenter for Tellytrack and agent for Anthony Delpech. When circumstances permit, he will work for Racing South Africa on an ad hoc basis.”
