Decade High Entry For Golden Horse

2022 Festival Of Speed - save the date: 4 June

A total of 98 entries were received on Monday for the Hollywoodbets Scottsville speed spectacular of four Gr1 races to be held on 4 June.

In a terrific turnout of the cream of our speed crop, 45 entries were received for the R750 000 Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint, 21 entries for the R600 000 SA Fillies Sprint and 16 entries apiece for the R500 000 Gr1 Gold Medallion and R500 000 Gr1 Allan Robertson Championship.

The Golden Horse entry of 45 is the highest in ten renewals, as can be seen from the chart below:

Sean Tarry probably has the best Gr1 record at Hollywoodbets Scottsville in history, having sent out 13 winners there at the highest level. That is two more than KZN veteran Dennis Drier, who is often labelled the ‘Medallion Man’for his own outstanding record.
