Dear Bob, Does The Tote Think?

A.A. Milne wonders about the profitability of All To Come bet

The Tote promotes the new All-To-Come bet as a great bet on which money can be made. But aren’t bookie odds always going to be better for this bet?

Dear A.A.,

You have a very perceptive mind.

Bookies odds are fixed, all-to-come Tote odds are not.

Worse, because of the relatively small pools, Tote odds might well get shorter the more money you stand to make as each of your legs progresses.

So the simple answer is: for all-to-come, bookies are best.

Best,

Bob
