Wind Water from the Johan Janse van Vuuren stable may give punters a good start to the day. He has produced three good efforts to date. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was carried inwards in the final 200m.

He is having his peak run and with Keagan de Melo back in the saddle, he should be the horse to beat.

Namaqua Blossom from the Lucky Houdalakis yard takes her place in Race 6. She was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1800m at the Vaal. She will love the step up to 2000m.

She does take a big step up in class, but she may be ahead of the handicapper and with just 52kgs on her back, she should be up to the task at hand.
