De Kock Gives Pick 6 Players Another Chance Today

First leg of Pick 6 at 13h20

It’s difficult to believe we were still wearing covid masks at the corresponding racemeeting last year but that’s all behind us as an exciting ten-race programme is scheduled at Hollywoodbets Greyville this morning.

The main event of the day is the Hollywoodbets  Gr1 Gold Challenge which sees five Hollywoodbets Durban July entries take their place against defending champion Al Muthana and star 3yo, Charles Dickens.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge which offers a must-be-won bonus of R200 000 today. If you select all the winners on the day, you can win R2 million. The first is due off at 11h35.

Gimmeanotherchance from the Mike de Kock stable takes his place in the Listed The Sharks Gatecrasher Stakes. He was super-impressive when winning at the third time of asking.

He set the pace over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won with ease since.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight is progressive and looks to have ability. He will have the run of the race from pole position and should take a power of beating.

Trainer Vaughan Marshall saddles Ensuing in the Non-Black Type SABC Sport Durban Dash. He ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

The son of William Longsword received a four-pound penalty for that victory. He has finished second on this course in the past. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw but will be mowing down the frontrunners and can notch up his fifth career victory.
