The first is off at 12h30

In the final race, Mike de Kock saddles the Rafeef gelding Beamonesque who showed good improvement in a Graduation Plate last time out.

He is drawn in pole position as he steps up to the 1400m today.

Gavin Lerena, who registered his runaway maiden victory, is aboard again. Beamonesque has plenty in his favour and must go close here.

Bob’s Your Uncle from the Lucky Houdalakis stable takes his place in Race 5. He has consistent form lines to his credit.

He set the pace over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time and stayed on to finish third.

The son of Royal Mo won over this distance on the Classic course, three runs ago. Craig Zackey is likely to place him in a prominent position and he should be hard to peg back.

Please note that Smanga Khumalo,  Julius Horing and Kaidan Brewer are not riding today.

Race: 8 No: 2 CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN had a 352 day break due to recovering from a colic operation.
