Hong Kong punters have taken to South African racing and as a result the Hong Kong Jockey Club will be simulcasting the three feature events from Greyville this Saturday at the expense of UK races from Epsom on Derby Day.
In a press release, Gold Circle said they were proud to make the announcement.
According to Raf Sheik, Gold Circle’s Racing Executive, the simulcast of our races to Hong Kong has proved lucrative for South African racing, with the turnover on the features taken from Turffontein on Saturday, 5 May, reaching R93 Million.
Saturday’s features are the Gr1 Daily News 2000, the Gr1 Woolavington 2000 and the Gr3 Lonsdale Stirrup Cup.

Go down to the start in order.
Race on time (they are including the SA product as part of their UK simulcast).
Due to the time constraints, the trophy presentation for the Lonsdale Stirrup Cup and Woolavington 2000 will take place in the Parade Ring. The presentation for the Daily News 2000 will remain in the Gold Horseshoe in front of the main grandstand.
