The highly popular Klawervlei Farm Sale has been re-named ‘The CTS-De Grendel Farm Sale’ and will be held at the De Grendel wine estate in June 2021.
The Sale is open to all Vendors and entry forms can be found online at www.capethoroughbredsales.com
Grant Knowles, Marketing and Bloodstock Director of CTS, commented: “The ever-popular Klawervlei Farm sale, with the traditional rough and rugged yearling approach, will be managed by CTS for the 2021 edition, offering guaranteed payments to vendors for the first time.
The Klawervlei Sale established a strong market identity regarding value for money, including its latest unbeaten star graduate Kommetdieding, which was a shrewd R55,000 purchase by Michelle Rix for owner Ashwin Reynolds two years ago.”
Knowles added: “We will be introducing a lucrative sales race too. There will be a R1,000 levy per horse for vendors, and a R3,000 levy per horse for buyers. We are aiming to raise R600,000 for the De Grendel Farm Sale race, to be held over 1250m at Durbanville in March 2022.”
De Villiers Graaff of De Grendel said: “We are excited to be extending our relationship with the racing fraternity. It looks like we’ll have to buy a horse ourselves, soon!”
