Grace O’Malley is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Gilded Minaret.

She has produced five multiple winners from five previous foals and will be considered a good value purchase for Chris Van Nierkerk’s Rainbow Beach Trading. Good Golly will be going into training with Champion Trainer Sean Tarry.

cts-SPORTINGPOST-2YO-2016Kuda Holdings topped the buyers list with four lots, purchased for R755,000 at an average R188,750, while Maine Chance was the top vendor with five lots sold for R730,000 at R146,000 per sale.

“This was indeed a sale of good value and the market held up well,” said Adrian Todd, MD of CTS.

“It’s a sale where vendors are offered the opportunity to bring back foals that were unsold for any number of reasons at sales earlier in the year, and a chance for buyers to get some good stock at value prices. The averages were a bit lower than last year, but overall we are pleased with the results.”

The Sale average was R57,213, with a median of R35,000.
