Corne Is On Top Of The World Today

First due off @ 12h20

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth with the first on the nine-race programme due off at 12h20.

A reminder that selections for the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge must be in at least 5 minutes before the first is off.

Trainer Greg Ennion sends out Miss World in Race 2. She showed good speed over this course and distance last time, before getting caught late by Mai Sensation.

She has won once, finished second three times and third once from six starts over this course and distance.

The removal of the blinkers may do the trick and it is encouraging that Corne Orffer steps back into the saddle.

Crescent from the Justin Snaith stable takes his place in Race 5. He ran a good race when second over 1400m on this course last time.

He was unlucky not to have won that day as he was held up for a run at the 400m mark. The son of Legislate will love the rise to 1600m.

With a bit of luck from the widest draw, and with JP van der Merwe on board, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
