The Eagle Soars

One horse show over the weekend in the Charity Turf Challenge

The only Graded point scoring feature over the past week was the Gr3 Jubilee Handicap, run at Turffontein on Sunday.

The field of eight included a few VDJ hopefuls who had one last chance to impress. However, the race turned out to be a one horse show with the 3 year old son of Greys Inn, Legal Eagle (SAF), winning easily.

He smashed the opposition with a superb performance over 1800m and his followers (583 selections) in the competition must now be excited about his chances in Africa’s Premier Horseracing event on 4 July.
