Champion To Be Syndicated For Stud

After his scintillating victory in last Saturday’s L’Ormarins King’s Plate, Trippi’s chestnut son Charles Dickens will be syndicated for stud.

In a communication to breeders, Drakenstein’s Kevin Sommerville writes that the champion operation have decided to syndicate Charles Dickens following his scintillating win in South Africa’s most prestigious weight for age contest, the L’Ormarins King Plate, a race won by Champion Sires Gimmethegreenlight and Jet Master.

Charles Dickens will continue to race for Drakenstein Stud for the remainder of the 2024 season.

The share price is R400,000 + Vat, and each share will entitle the owner to 2 nominations per season for the first 4 seasons at stud.

The winner of 10 of his 13 races, unbeaten as a 2 year old, winner of the sire making Cape Guineas Gr1 and Gold Challenge Gr1, Charles Dickens has all the credentials to be the next Champion Sire of South Africa.

Crowned Champion 3yo and Champion Miler, he is by Champion Sire Trippi out of Broodmare of the Year Demanding Lady by Dynasty.
