Top Stallion Services Up For Grabs

Services to some of the country’s top stallions and most promising young sires will be on offer at the 2021 Cape Breeders Club Stallion Auction.

One of the most popular auctions of its kind, this year’s stallion auction represents a great opportunity to acquire services to stallions who may be otherwise fully booked for the upcoming season.

The auction, which will take place after the always popular golf day on 24 May will be restricted in numbers due to COVID19 protocol – so any breeders interested in attending are asked to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

Services to the following stallions will be available via a live auction-

  • Erik The Red -Varsfontein Stud/Freeman Stallions
  • Futura -Drakenstein Stud/Freeman Stallions
  • Gimmethegreenlight-Varsfontein Stud/Freeman Stallions
  • Ideal World -Mauritzfontein
  • Lancaster Bomber -Drakenstein Stud/Freeman Stallions
  • One World -Drakenstein Stud/Freeman Stallions
  • Oratorio -Avontuur Thoroughbred Farm
  • Querari -Maine Chance Farms/Freeman Stallions
  • Rafeef -Ridgemont Highlands
  • The United States -Moutonshoek
  • Vercingetorix -Maine Chance Farms
  • What A Winter -Drakenstein Stud/Freeman Stallions

Other stallions with services to be offered via the silent bid system include Canford Cliffs (Ridgemont Highlands), Captain Of All (Klawervlei Stud), Elusive Fort (Black Swan Stud), Erupt (Maine Chance Farms), Fire Away (Wilgerbosdrift), Global View (Ascot Stud), Legislate (Cheveley Stud), Louis The King (Sorrento Stud), Pathfork (Sandown Stud), Pomodoro (Klawervlei Stud), Potala Palace (Ridgemont Highlands), Soqrat (Sandown Stud), Talk Of The Town (Winterbach Stud), Twice Over (Klawervlei Stud), and Visionaire (Lammerskraal Stud).
