The Australian Turf Club’s night racing series at the popular Canterbury Park racetrack returns at 09h00 today with the Schweppes Opening Night being the first of ten Friday night meetings between now and February.
This season is the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of racing at Canterbury, and each meeting will include free family entertainment, food, and dining options.
“The Australian Turf Club has achieved record crowds of up to 10 000 spectators in recent seasons at Canterbury Park and, with Sydney emerging from lockdown, we look forward to another big season,” ATC Chief Executive Jamie Barkley said.
“Free family entertainment, food stalls to outstanding hospitality in the Guineas Restaurant, Canterbury Park is one of Sydney’s favourite starts to the weekend.”
Race one is at 09h00 with half-hour gaps between races with an eight-race card for Friday’s meeting.
First off is at 09h00 and will be broadcast on Tellytrack (Dstv 249).
