Cant Catch Cliffie Today

First race off at 12h45

Fairview Racecourse plays host to an eight-race programme on the polytrack this afternoon.

Luyolo Mxothwa has a full book of rides with a couple of decent winning chances and he may be the jockey worth following. The first is due off at 12h45.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Cliffie Miller saddles Can’t Catch Me in Race 2. She ran a good race when second in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

She raced from just off the pace and stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of Flower Alley is making her stable debut and if suited to the polytrack, she should be too good for this field.

Vegas Gold from the Gavin Smith stable takes his place in Race 6. He is much better than his last start over this distance on the turf.

He won a good race in his penultimate outing when getting the better of Variety Breeze. The son of Var has won twice from three starts over this course and distance.

He returns to Handicap Company and can notch up his sixth career victory.
