Calvin And Defender The Possible Banker

Bipot starts in the first race @ 12h35

Racing takes place on the Turffontein Inside course today, with the first on an eight-race programme due off at 12h35.

Jockey Calvin Habib has six rides booked with a couple of decent winning chances and he may be worth following throughout the day.

Trainer Tony Peter saddles Main Defender in Race 7 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He was super-impressive when winning the Gr3 Betway Got The Greenlight Stakes last time. He showed good guts and determination to hold Barbaresco at bay.

The son of Pathfork should have no issues with the drop to 1200m. He is the class horse in the race and should take a power of beating.

Alabama Anna from the Lucky Houdalakis yard takes her place in Race 6. She ran on from last when third in her last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course.

She takes a drop-in class and jumps from a good draw of three.

If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she should notch up her fifth-career victory.

Jockey Wesley Marwing will not be riding today.
