There will be two Ready to Run races in 2016 – one over 1200m and the other over 1600m.
In the interests of transparency relating to all their Sweepstakes and Value Added races, BSA have advised the following:
– Ready to Run sweepstakes contributions are kept in a separate call/investment account
– KZN Million Rand race sweepstakes contributions are kept in a separate call/investment account
– Value Added bonus race contributions are kept in a separate call/investment account
An analysis relating to the Ready to Run sweepstakes for sales years 2006 to 2013 (corresponding to the race years 2007 to 2014) is shown below.

The amounts paid over to Phumelela and Gold Circle are calculated, after the racing operators have deducted their sponsorships – so in fact the deficit for each year would have been greater without the sponsorship.
