In one of the biggest rationalisation moves by a prominent patron in recent memory, leading South African owners Adriaan and Rika van Vuuren have 135 lots on the Bloodstock South Africa November Mixed Sale.

The sale will be held at the TBA Sales Complex in Germiston on Wednesday 16 November.

The Van Vuurens came to prominence via their star Go Deputy gelding Abashiri, who was crowned the 2015 SA Triple Crown champion.

They have a mixed group of raced and unraced horses on the sale and there is likely to be plenty of interest.

Some of the eyecatching lots include:

 Lot 7 Splendid Garden – a half brother to former champion and exciting young Wilgerbosdrift sire Soft Falling Rain, Splendid Garden is a proven high class performer who finished second in the 2016 Gr3 Tommy Hotspur Handicap

 Lot8 Greek Legend – this son of Black Minnaloushe is a smart performer, who has already won four and who finished third to subsequent Derby hero Ertijaal in the Listed Sea Cottage Stakes

Lot 10 – an unraced 2yo daughter of last season’s Leading First Crop Sire Gimmethegreenlight, this unnamed bay is a half sister to Gr3 filly Qui Success and five other winners

Lot 11 – another unraced 2yo, this colt is by champion sire Silvano out of National Assembly’s Gr3 winning daughter Golden Shina

Lot 15 Colombina, from the first crop of Gr1 Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade, this unraced 2yo is out of Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery winner Hard To Get

Lot 18 Frosted Honey – runner up in the Gr2 SA Fillies Nursery, this filly holds plenty of appeal both as a racing prospect and as a future broodmare

Lot 20 this unraced 2yo colt has a stallion’s pedigree- by champion Australian sire and sprinter Fastnet Rock he is out of the French Gr1 winner Imperial Beauty

Lot 25 Jive Five, this unraced 2yo is a son of champion sire Silvano out of stakes placed Jabulani Jive and is a half brother to the smart Jubilee Line

Lot 28 this unraced and unnamed 2yo is from the first crop of multiple Equus Champion What A Winter and is out of Gr2 two-year-old Kesha

Lot 29 Fort Augustus, this unraced 2yo is a Fort Wood three parts brother to Horse Of The Year Celtic Grove and is also closely related to the stakes placed dam of Equus Champion Marinaresco

Lot 31 Khetiwe, this blue blooded filly is superbly bred –and sure to find favour with buyers looking for a potential broodmare. By triple Australian champion sire Redoute’s Choice, she is a sister in blood to Redoute’s Choice sired champion Miss Finland

Lot 38 this unraced and unnamed 2yo is a daughter of champion sprinter, and red hot sire Choisir,  and she is out of a half sister to an Australian Gr2 winner

Lot 39 – by a champion son of the great sire Hussonet, this unnamed 2yo colt is out of a daughter of outstanding sire Medaglia D’Oro and his second dam is a half sister to legendary champion Cigar

Lot 49 Le Clos, a smart 3yo of his year, the son of Jay Peg finished third (beaten under a length) in the Gr3 Tony Ruffel Stakes and competed in some of the major classics of his year

Lot 50 from the first crop of Horse Of The Year Irish Flame (by Dynasty), this unraced 2yo colt is out of a daughter of champion sire Fastnet Rock and hails from the family of champions Arazi and Noverre

 Lot 53 from the first crop of French Derby winner Reliable Man, this unraced 2yo filly is from the immediate family of Gr1 winner Reigning To Win

Lot 97 Deputy Jud, as versatile as he was talented, millionaire Deputy Jud won the G2 Supreme Cup (over1450m) and ran second in the Gr1 SA Derby (over 2450m)
