Fiso Cracks Top Lot Just Under Halfway

Hollywood Syndicate buy Vercingetorix colt

Just under the halfway mark of Sunday’s BSA Cape Yearling Sale at a vibrant and warm Mistico, greenhorn auctioneer Fiso Hadebe enjoyed the honour on his gavel debut of selling the highest priced lot at that point, when the Hollywood Syndicate paid R375 000 for #64.

Fiso leads the action, flanked by Andrew Miller and Graeme Hawkins (Pic Candiese Lenferna)

The price beats the 2020 Cape Yearling Sale high-water mark.

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift, Galic War (#64) is a son of Maine Chance’ exciting Silvano stallion Vercingetorix, out of the Dynasty mare, Oojooba.

The handsome dark bay colt is a first foal and hails from the female line of Salsabeel and Lehaaf.
