These races are open to all graduates of BSA’s 2015 yearling and two year-old sales, who ‘ticked the box’ for entry into the futurity series.

The races will add to the vibe of the BSA National Two Year Old Sale which takes place on Wednesday 17, Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August 2016.

The venue at Scottsville will be ideal at that time of the year, as both climate and conditions are the best in the country during August.

It is also within easy reach of both KZN and Johannesburg, and the Cape trainers, who have horses up for the KZN season will have a compelling reason to stay in KZN for a tad longer.

It will be the start of an amazing week, with the Equus awards on the Tuesday evening followed by our National Two Year Old Sale on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The sale will host two evening sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evening, with a full day on Friday. The sale will, similar to 2015, incorporate fillies for stud.

2014 TBA Ready To Run Sale Lot 27 - Unnamed (Bernardini - Coffee Shop)

The National Two Year Old Sale has always been very popular with buyers, as an extremely genuine sale, and good value for money.

In 2016 there are two additional reasons why the sale will be even more popular.

All graduates of ONLY this sale, will be eligible for two races worth R1 million each to be run at Scottsville in August 2017. Both races will be over 1400m, with one for colts, and one for fillies.

Bloodstock SA have been concerned about the weaker market for fillies, and believe that this strategy will add to the attractiveness of purchasing fillies, which will pay dividends for all in the long run.

Vendors will be required to contribute a R 3 000 fee for the race, while buyer’s will be asked to contribute a R 4 000 fee.

Conditions for the races will be announced in due course.

The 2016 National Two Year Old Sale is a sale not to be missed and entry forms are available on www.tba.co.za.
