Kenilworth Racing will be hosting the second annual Ladies Day at Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 9 August and is inviting all women to rally round and help to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

The inaugural day last year raised R130 000 for Reach for Recovery Breast Cancer Association, and attracted support from personalities across the spectrum of Cape Town’s social elite as well as movers and shakers from the corporate world.

The event will be held again on Woman’s Day and the fairer sex are encouraged to demonstrate their support at the fundraiser with a difference. The beneficiary will be the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).

On a day guaranteed to provide top quality entertainment against a backdrop of action-packed horseracing, one lucky lady will walk away with a diamond pendant to the value of R50 000 courtesy of eDiamonds.

The fun event is themed ‘A Touch of Bling’ and will host an auction of the racing career of a beautiful Noordhoek Flyer filly from Mauritzfontein Stud. Proceeds from the auction will go to CANSA to assist in their wide range of health programmes, which includes screening and cancer control.

Leading South African racehorse trainer Dean Kannemeyer will be training the filly free of costs for the duration of her racing career and plenty of excitement is expected to be generated by the auction.

A ticket to Ladies Day costs R450 per head and incorporates a 3 course meal, live entertainment and a fashion show. There is also an opportunity to walk away with a diamond pendant.  A group booking of ten will mean a saving of R50 per head.

While it is a ladies only function, men are welcome to join us from 16h00 when the auction will be held.
