It’s Official: Judges Erred With Zim Result

The National Horseracing Authority regrets the error

National Horseracing AuthorityThe National Horseracing Authority confirms that the investigation into the result of Race 5 at Borrowdale Racecourse on 17 January 2016 has been completed.

It was established that the official result given by the Judges on duty was incorrect and in fact this race was won by No. 4 PRINT THE POUNDS and not No .1 EURAKILON.

For statistical purposes the result of this Race is amended to:

1ST       PRINT THE POUNDS (NO 4)

2ND     EURAKILON (NO 1)

3RD     ROCK THE COUNTRY (NO 3)

4TH     TALLIE TWO (NO 7)

5TH     GENTLE BROOK  (NO 5)

The provisions of Rule 65.8 will be applied.

65.8     Should it be proved after the ALL CLEAR has been announced that there was an error in the placings declared by the judge, the result shall stand save for the fact that the error shall be corrected for statistical purposes.  Where such correction affects stake money such money shall be returned to the RACING OPERATOR for re-distribution.

The National Horseracing Authority regrets the error.

An internal Inquiry has been opened into this matter.
