Bold Silvano retired to stud

Bold Silvano, the 2010 Vodacom Durban July winner,  has been retired and will stand his first season in 2012 at Ascot Stud, who bred the horse.

Voted Equus Champion Middle Distance Performer for 2010, Bold Silvano (Silvano -Bold Saffron by Al Mufti) was sent to Dubai after winning the G1 Vodacom Durban July and runner-up to Horse of the Year Irish Flame in the G1 Daily News 2000
Trained by Mike de Kock, Bold Silvano made his Dubai debut a winning one, when he took the 2011 Al Maktoum Challenge.
Unfortunately injury forced him off the track for a year, and Bold Silvano failed to recapture his earlier form.

The first son of the Silvano to stand at stud in South Africa, Bold Silvano is out of a stakes placed Al Mufti mare.

A fee is yet to be announced.
