Not race fit but should still win

With bigger fish to fry this coming season, the Glen Kotzen trained Seattle Force is confidently expected to win the fifth race at Durbanville today.

Having his first run in ten weeks and his opener under the Hollywood yellow and purple flag for Glen Kotzen, the promising, big strapping colt has really matured since his first start back in early June. Having won his maiden comfortably as a two-year-old in just his third start, it was just the experience he needed. The Hollywood Syndicate saw the value in purchasing a progressive type.

According to Glen Kotzen “he shouldn’t have much trouble dispatching of this field, even if he is still in need of the run”.

An objective thinker may feel that he tugged on the bit early on, first time out and if this is repeated due to pure greenness it could cost him. One could even add that for a horse that has just won his maiden as a two-year-old and is now facing hard knocking handicappers in his first run out of the maidens – he may be found wanting. But the connections are a little more optimistic.

The fifth race is off at 15h50 and the field has been reduced to eight runners with the scratching of Piracy.
