The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Cape Town on  5 March 2013, Jockey Bernard Fayd’herbe was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride MR GOSS out to the end of the 3rd Race at Durbanville Racecourse, on 27 February 2013, and as a result prejudiced this horse’s chances of finishing in the 2ndposition.

Mr Fayd’herbe pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found him guilty of the charge, and imposed a penalty of a fine of R15 000.

Mr Fayd’herbe has the right of appeal against both the finding and the penalty imposed.
