Bereave Can Make Punters Happy Today

First race off @ 12h30

Eight races are carded at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth this afternoon.

The main event of the day is the Grade 3 Politician Stakes over 1800m.

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge which gives you another chance to win.

There is R275 000 up for grabs if you tip all the winners on the card!

There is also a guaranteed R5 000 to be shared by the Top 20 on the leaderboard!

The first is due off at 12h30.

Note: Jockey Bernard Fayd’Herbe will not be riding this afternoon.

Sharapova from the Mike de Kock stable takes her place in Race 2. She has produced two good second-place finishes to date, the latest of which was over this course and distance.

She set the pace that day but was outrun late by Rafeef’s Choice.

It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.

The daughter of Querari is a temperamental type and if loading, she should take a power of beating in this line-up.

Trainer Adam Marcus saddles Bereave in Race 5.

He ran a good race when third in the Grade 2 Cape Merchants last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

He has won once, finished second twice and third once from six starts over this course and distance.

The son of Vercingetorix is in a good space and can return to winning ways.
