Equus Champion Older Female and Horse of the Year nominated Beach Beauty will visit European Champion Older Horse and current leading sire by 3rd crop stakes winners, Duke Of Marmalade this season.
Beach Beauty is currently settling in to life after racing extremely well and she is being well looked after in the paddock by her stablemate Schiffer also trained by Dennis Drier. The talented and superfast filly Schiffer (Var) will also be visiting Duke Of Marmalade this year.
European Champion Older Horse of 2008, Duke Of Marmalade, is a 5 time Group 1 winning son of the late Champion Sire, Danehill, out of the Group placed Love Me True.
Group placed at both two and three years of age in the very best of company, including 2nd to European Champion Dylan Thomas in the Irish Champion Stakes Gr.1, Duke Of Marmalade would go on to record 5 consecutive Group 1 victories culminating in the defeat of European Champion 3 year old New Approach in the Juddmonte International Stakes Gr.1.
Timeform would rate Duke Of Marmalade at 132 lbs after his 4 year old season. Duke Of Marmalade has subsequently had runners of his own, was European Champion 2nd Crop sire by Stakes winners in 2013, and is currently the leading 3rd crop sire in the Northern Hemisphere by stakes winners, which include the exciting Venus De Milo Gr.3 winner and multiple Gr.1 placed. Duke Of Marmalade currently has 25 stakes horses from his first 2 crops to race.
The Duke is currently 8th on the European sires lists by stake winners ahead of Danehill Dancer, Dansili, High Chaparral, New Approach, Sea The Stars and Montjeu.
