Nine races are carded on the Turffontein Inside course this afternoon.

The first is due off at 12h10.

S’manga Khumalo has eight rides booked with a couple of decent winning chances and he could have a good day at the office.

Tail Of The Comet from the Sean Tarry stable takes his place in Race 6.

He followed up his impressive debut victory with a good third-place finish in the Grade 2 TabGold Umkhomazi Stakes.

It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Gimmethegreenlight clearly has ability and he carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs. If jumping on terms, he should be the one to beat.

Trainer Alec Laird saddles Birthright in Race 4. He produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1200m at the Vaal. He was green in running but finished his race off well.

The son of William Longsword would have gained from the experience and would have strengthened up during his time off the track. He will be ideally suited to the 1700m and if fit, he should be the one to beat.
