Another For Mike Today?

Bipot starts in the first race at 12h15

Turffontein Racecourse plays host to an eight-race programme this afternoon.

We see the running of the Gr2 Mike de Kock Ipi Tombe Challenge. The first is due off at 12h15 with the lucky last set for 16h20.

Looking back – Gimme A Nother went on powerfully under Bryanston Auctioneers-sponsored JP van der Merwe (Pic – JC Photos)

Gimme A Nother from the Mike de Kock stable takes her place in Race 7. She is unbeaten from three starts to date.

She was super-impressive when winning the Gr3 Betway Fillies Mile last time. She was slow into stride but quickened up well and ran on strongly.

The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight meets a competitive field with older rivals but she carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and should keep her unbeaten record intact.

Trainer Joe Soma sends out Avoontoast in Race 5. She has fair consistent form lines to her credit. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course.

The daughter of Twice Over has dropped to a competitive rating and she takes a drop-in class.

Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
