Yvette Bremner’s Dippin’ Blu Stables continued their purple patch of form at Fairview on Friday with four smart winners – including a top class effort from the Jay Peg filly Veeipee Club to win the R110 000 Aloe Handicap feature.

High-riding SA champion apprentice Lyle Hewitson – currently second on the national log – was the winning rider aboard Veeipee Club and maintained his solid association – Dippin’ Blu Stables providing him with more than 50% of his total victories this season.
Only one of the four Bremner winners were ridden by Hewitson though, with Ryan Munger grabbing a double and apprentice Juglall bagging his third career victory with a clever ride aboard the any-priced Zaida to win the last.
Hewitson has been aboard at all four of the versatile Veeipee Club’s successes, and the pair showed that they are lethal together, gaining a 0,75 length victory over the fancied What A Player in a time of 77,6 secs for the poly 1300m.
A daughter of Jay Peg (Camden Park) out of five-time winner Irish Darling (Casey Tibbs), the Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud-bred winner has won 4 of her 8 starts with 2 places and stakes of R215 950.
Greg Cheyne and Alan Greeff bagged a hat-trick on the afternoon.
There is only one Jay Peg filly (#124) on this weekend’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
