Alan’s Baby Looks Best Today

First due off @ 12h40

Today’s local racemeeting takes place on the Fairview turf track.

Eight races have been carded for this afternoon with the first due off at 12h40 and the lucky last set for 16h40.

Don’t forget to get your selections in for the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge at least five minutes before the first is off.

Trainer Alan Greeff sends out Breede Baby in Race 3 and she looks to be the best bet on the programme.

She followed up her maiden victory with an encouraging effort over 1200m on this course. The way she finished off her race that day caught the eye.

The daughter of Captain Of All will love the rise to 1600m. She jumps from a handy draw of five and with Sporting Post-sponsored jockey Sean Veale aboard, she may be the one to beat.

Gunsmoke from the Tara Laing stable takes his place in Race 4. He is better than his last start.

He finished 0.25 lengths behind Destiny’s Angel in his penultimate start. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that may be enough for the tables to be turned.

Three of his four career victories have been recorded on this course. Chase Maujean is likely to settle him near the rear of the field and he may be mowing down the frontrunners.
